20a. Case 1: One-Faced Line, Two-Faced Line (4 dancers)

Während die äusseren Tänzer vorwärts gehen, gehen die mittleren Tänzer (Centers) in gleichem Masse rückwärts. Verwendet wird Couple Handhold. Wenn sich eine neue Line gebildet hat, werden sofort die Hände in der neuen Line durchgefasst.

Bemerkungen

Aus einer Tidal Formation ist es hilfreich, aber nicht notwendig, „Each Side“ zu sagen.

Ein Paar auf der Aussenseite des Squares (z.B. nach Couples Circulate 1½) kann zu einem Bend The Line aufgefordert werden. In diesem Fall kann das Paar davon ausgehen, dass die andere Hälfte ihrer Line sich in Richtung der Mitte des Sets befindet, und, als geschlossene Einheit agierend, sich um 90° zur Mitte des Squares dreht.

Die Handhaltung wird in jeder Hälfte der Line beibehalten. Während die „Very Ends“ vorwärts gehen, gehen die „Very Centers“ entsprechend rückwärts. Am Ende richten sich die Tänzer zu Facing Lines aus.

Bemerkungen

Aus einer Line aus 6 Tänzern ist der Call „Lines of 6, Bend The Line“ akzeptabel.

Ein „Bend The Line“ aus Lines mit 2 Tänzern zu tanzen (z.B. „Bend The Little Bitty Line“) wird als sehr ungewöhnlich betrachtet und sollte nicht verwendet werden.
